OpenDemand has been named winner of the “Best Open Computing Solution” award in the annual IBM PartnerWorld Beacon Awards competition, recognizing IBM Business Partners for their ingenuity, innovation, customer satisfaction and outstanding achievements in providing on demand business solutions.
OpenDemand worked with IBM to introduce OpenLoad On Demand, the first viable testing solution for small and medium sized businesses (SMB). Existing tools were too complex and costly to implement such that many SMB organizations often did not test at all, which placed their business at serious risk, resulting in loss revenue and productivity.
OpenLoad On Demand leverages only open standard and open source based technologies. It is integrated with Eclipse and deployed on WebSphere Application Server Community Edition and Cloudscape on Linux. With OpenLoad On Demand, SMB companies now have access to a viable solution for ensuring the quality of Web applications and ultimately mitigating their technology while minimizing business risk.
As a result of deploying on open standard and open source technology, OpenDemand was able to dramatically reduce the time and resources required by its clients to ensure the quality of their business critical Web applications. For example, one banking client leveraged OpenDemand’s solution to reduce its testing cycles from 3 months to 3 weeks and its overall testing staff from 15 to 5 engineers.
