The "Stress" Has Just Begun: Commission on Science and Technology Helps Fund OpenDemand Systems, a Web-Performance Company

River Edge, New Jersey - July 18, 2001
OpenDemand Systems, Inc., the New Jersey based Web Performance Management Company, will get an infusion of much-needed working capital for technology development, thanks to investments to be provided by the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology.

At its quarterly meeting held today at the Sarnoff Corporation in Princeton, the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology approved the OpenDemand award under its "Springboard Fund Program," which is intended to support the development and commercialization of new technologies by New Jersey companies, to improve their competitiveness and help strengthen the State's economy.

"The Springboard Fund Program gives the Commission the opportunity to accelerate the commercialization of important new technologies, and move new technology-based products into the marketplace," said Dr. John Tesoriero, Executive Director of the Commission. "Our program gives New Jersey companies a chance to get ahead of the competition, and stay on the leading edge of product development." OpenDemand Systems' plans for the use of the funding include just that, states Dr. William Greenberg, the Company's CEO. "Our products, our strategy, and our people all help differentiate us from the competition, both big and small. This funding came at just the right time and will be used as the stepping stone in helping ODS accelerate the presence of our products in the marketplace and finalize future releases."

OpenDemand Systems provides web-based performance management products and services to Service Providers and the enterprise market. The Company's patent-pending load testing technology, OpenLoad, is the first intelligent, fully automated application performance testing and analysis solution that is specifically designed for two very distinct users: the novice and the advanced, allowing both types to run the tests and get results with the highest of accuracy.

With powerful features designed by the minds of people who have once been the "target market," OpenLoad was specifically created as a highly powerful, and low cost appliance, allowing simultaneous testing of up to 10,000 users on one machine with immediate, real-time results.

In addition to OpenLoad, OpenDemand also enables Clients to take advantage of their best-of-breed Web Performance Management and Quality Assurance expertise through it's professional services arm - OpenServices - allowing Companies to outsource these web performance and QA services to meet their short- and long-term business objectives. Additional products include a performance monitoring application, as well as a rules-based management application, both planned to be released next fiscal year.
