Newark, New Jersey - July 28, 2003
OpenDemand Systems, Inc. today announced that its President & CEO, Donald Doane, spoke
at IBM's e-Business On Demand Briefing Day where he addressed
CMP leadership, including Robert DeMarzo, VARBusiness Editorial Director and CMP Media Vice President,
and Michael Vizard, CRN Editor-in-Chief. The event was organized by IBM to educate members of the press
on IBM's e-Business On Demand strategy, specifically as it relates to the IBM Business Partner community.
IBM executives, including Buell Duncan, General Manager of IBM Developer Relations, briefed reporters
on how ISVs and the channel (solution providers, systems integrators, distributors, etc) are benefiting from On Demand;
citing examples of how On Demand impacts partners' business models and existing products, and enables them
to improve profitability.
Mr. Doane openly discussed with the press how OpenDemand is effectively leveraging IBM's On Demand strategy in order
to deliver solutions to market faster, increase competitive advantage and
ultimately better service the needs of its customers. Mr. Doane then invited Brian LeGros, Web Application Manager of
Foreign Currency Exchage, one of OpenDemand's key midmarket customers, to speak directly with reporters on the
benefits they are receiving from IBM's and OpenDemand's joint On Demand solutions.
“The Foreign Currency Exchage did a wonderful job of summing up the true value our flagship product offering, OpenLoad,
is delivering for their business, and how our solution running on WebSphere and DB2 makes it more
scalable and extensible than any other load testing tool on the market",
said President & CEO, Donald Doane.
"The bottom line is that working with IBM has resulted in more value for our customers and better profitability for us."
