Today, OpenDemand Systems, Inc.’s president & CEO, Donald Doane, and Cosmic Creation Australia Pty Ltd's managing director, Chand Chadha, announced the partnership between the two organizations with the establishment of a framework for technical assistance and cooperation.
The partnership aims to unveil OpenLoad, the industry's first easy-to-use, browser-based rapid performance optimisation solution for load and stress testing of dynamic websites, in Australia. OpenLoad is a cutting edge technology powered by IBM Web Sphere and DB2 Universal database. OpenLoad minimizes the time and skill set required to optimise the performance of Web-based applications by simplifying the process of building test scripts, verifying expected functional behaviour and pinpointing performance bottlenecks within Web applications and IT infrastructure.
The software testing division, of Cosmic Creation, specialises in functional and performance testing for mission critical projects. OpenDemand’s load and stress testing product “OpenLoad V3.5”, released in April 2003, has a unique architecture. Unlike most load and stress testing products in the market, OpenLoad provides a fully customisable solution for web-based testing. The application itself can be modified and scaled according to customer’s specific needs. Also, the application's user interface is entirely web-based, so users don't need to install client software to use its capabilities. This gives OpenDemand's customers greater flexibility while running performance tests.
"We are trying to make things flexible for our customers to match their current needs. Some of our customers only need our product for a couple of weeks, and we can rent them a license, as well, for a short period of time," said Doane.
The announcement of the new partnership with Cosmic Creation Australia reflects the focus that OpenDemand has placed on taking its products to the Australian market. From the first week of November 2003, Cosmic Creation Australia will be initiating customer and partner discussions and meetings in major cities like Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne followed by other cities in the near future.
